Sampa the Great and the Zambians in France at the Quai Branly Museum, 7 July 2019.

Sampa The Great last European stop of her Final form Tour, was the Hip Hop collections Festival at the Quai Branly museum in Paris. The young Zambian community went to support the Zambian born Hip Hop artist, who grew up in Botswana and currently based in Australia.

'Final form' is one of her latest released songs. The video clip was shot in Lusaka, to capture the environment and culture of where she comes from.

She is an upcoming Hip Hop artist whose message is mainly focused on beauty acceptance and black empowerment. She uses her artistry to promote Zambian culture, and we thank her for that.

It was with great pleasure to see the French public chant and dance on her songs. She has very good stage presence. Her musicians and backup singers are also to applaud!

“ I moved to Australia to study audio production at the SAE Institute. I had to tell my parents that my school project was in fact on radio *laughs*! Little did I know that one day my mixtape will bring me here to Paris!” She said with gratitude.

Close to the end of the show, Sampa took us down the memory lane by singing Doowop (That thing) by Lauren Hill. She had the pleasure to meet her idol in February 2019 and open the stage for one of Lauryn Hill's concert in Australia.

Save the date! She’s coming back in November to Paris!

On the 21st of November, Sampa will present her debut album "The Return" at La Bellevilloise in Paris. You can already buy tickets here.

Listen to her interview on beats 1 official where she talks about her new album "The Return" here.
